Summary

As one of our Service Writers you will interact with our customers, checking in their equipment from behind the SmartBar as well as on-site, providing sales and service information, technical support and training in one-to-one and group environments. You’ll be able to effectively communicate the different required services needed the best set them up to experience technology bliss. Our desired candidate will have a in-depth knowledge and passion for Apple products, services and protocols as well as a very good understanding of networking, Android and Windows OS. They will have good communications skills, empathy and will ask about our customer about their current technology and how we can empower them to make magic, all the while creating a relationship with that customer because you care.

Description

This Service Writer will provide assistance for a variety of questions at our store located in the Rogue Valley Mall - Medford, Oregon or at the customer’s location which will require your reliable transportation, drivers license and personal auto insurance. The ideal candidate will posses a warm friendly personality, with a courteous and respectful demeanor. You will deliver positive experiences for customers as they need assistance. You will protect and build upon our 5-star level of customer service with your attractive personality, good communication, technical and sales knowledge. You'll use an iPad or Mac to create custom solution proposals using our FileMaker Pro app. You may work behind the SmartBar one day and another day you will be at our training tables or on-site at a customer location. This a part time flexible 16-32 hours a week position (to accommodate a college class schedule) and starting pay of $15 hr. ~ $25 hr. depending on experience.

Essential Functions

  • Get familiar with our unique selling proposition, the products and services we offer as a complete solution and learn our FileMaker Pro app.
  • Work in-house and on-site, proving technical support, training in a one-to-one or group environment for multiple operating systems.
  • Answer sales questions and create complete solution proposals.
  • Provide general feed back to the Service Manager on how we can improve the service, support and training process.
  • Spanish speaking capabilities are a plus. We don’t currently have many Hispanic customers and would like someone who can help us communicate with those customers more effectively.

Requirements

  • An attractive friendly personality who loves to serve and help people along with a passion for Apple products.
  • Two years or more of hands on experience and very good knowledge of Apple products, services and protocols as well as the iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, Windows and Android Operating systems.
  • Must have a very good understanding of networking in general as there are lots of different brands of modems, routers, firewalls, switches, smart bridges and more out there.
  • Can demonstrate responsibility, being on time and look for ways to bring more value to the company through their position.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Have a reliable vehicle to get to work and go to a customer location.
  • Must pass a pre-employment and random drug screening test administered through Asante
  • Must sign a confidentiality agreement
  • Must sign a non-compete agreement for markets in which SmartHelp does business in.
  • Available for at least 16 hours a week.
  • Read one book a month from our library of books to help you be successful in this position

Compensation

  • We will be offering to the successful hire an hourly wage of $15 hr. ~ $25 hr. depending on experience.
  • You’ll be eligible for our Rewards Program based on your sales performance
