Summary

As one of our Service Technician you will work behind the scenes in our service department, providing technical support, training, repairing hardware or setting up the software for iPhones, iPads, Macs, Android and Windows PCs. Our desired candidate will have a in-depth knowledge and passion for Apple products, services and protocols as well as a very good understanding of networking and posses Apple Service Certification.

Description

This Service Technician will complete all hardware repairs as well as software setup at our store located in the Rogue Valley Mall - Medford, Oregon. You will get the devices set up and completely ready to deliver and train the customer. You will also provide technical support and training over the Internet You will protect and build upon our 5-star level of customer service with fast turn around and quality work. You'll use a Mac or iPad to enter data in the service records using our FileMaker Pro app. You may work on various different hardware from desktop to laptops, from tablet to mobile phones. This a part time flexible 16-32 hours a week position (to accommodate a college class schedule) and starting pay of $18 hr. ~ $23 hr. depending on experience.

Essential Functions

  • Get intimate with our service process and recording all of the customer’s data through our FileMaker Pro app.
  • Work in-house proving technical support, training, service repairs, software setup locally and over the Internet
  • Following a diagnostic, contact customers to recommend the best repair or upgrade options.
  • Provide general feed back to the Service Manager on how we can improve the service, support and training process.
  • Spanish speaking capabilities are a plus. We don’t currently have many Hispanic customers and would like someone who can help us communicate with those customers more effectively.

Requirements

  • Someone who loves to serve and help people along with a passion for Apple products.
  • Two years or more of hands on experience and very good knowledge of Apple products, services and protocols as well as the iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, Windows and Android Operating systems.
  • Can demonstrate responsibility, being on time and look for ways to bring more value to the company hrough their position.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Must pass a pre-employment and random drug screening test administered through Asante
  • Must sign a confidentiality agreement
  • Must sign a non-compete agreement for markets in which SmartHelp does business in.
  • Available for at least 16 hours a week.
  • Read one book a month from our library of books to help you be successful in this position

Compensation

  • We will be offering to the successful hire an hourly wage of $18 hr. ~ $23 hr. depending on experience.
  • You’ll be eligible for our Rewards Program based on your sales performance
